The Luminary Hotel & Co. Autograph Collection, located in the vibrant city of Fort Myers, Florida, is an esteemed member of the Autograph Collection by Marriott International. This upscale hotel is independently owned and operated by Mainsail Lodging, a dedicated franchisee that exerts full control over the hotel’s employment operations, including hiring, staffing, compensation, and employee benefits. The Autograph Collection is known for its portfolio of unique and high-quality hotels that offer guests memorable experiences, each property reflecting originality, bold character, and a distinctive style that appeals to discerning travelers, also referred to as The Individualists. The Luminary Hotel invites guests to not just stay but to experience a place that contributes meaningfully to their personal and professional travel stories.
The role available is for a full-time Oxbow Bar & Grill Restaurant Manager, a pivotal management position within the Food & Beverage department that reports directly to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. This role demands a highly motivated, professional leader who excels in managing daily operations of the Oxbow Bar & Grill, ensuring superb guest experiences from arrival through departure by maintaining exemplary service standards, operational efficiency, and cleanliness. The Restaurant Manager will lead with a hands-on approach, championing a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
This management position is exempt and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment where leadership excellence and guest satisfaction drive success. The manager will be directly involved in all areas including dining room, patio, bar, host stand, and service support areas. Key responsibilities include monitoring guest experiences, addressing concerns promptly, engaging with patrons through proactive communication, and overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations to optimize guest satisfaction and financial performance. Maintaining compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and sanitation regulations is essential, as is fostering an environment where team members are trained, motivated, and supported to deliver exceptional service.
Moreover, this role requires strong participation in staffing management, scheduling, payroll, cost control, and financial goal achievement. The Restaurant Manager also plays an integral role in brand reputation management by responding to guest feedback across various channels such as social media, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and specialized systems like Marriott GXP and Medallia. Collaborating with culinary and marketing teams to plan menus, beverage offerings, promotions, and special events are also central to this position.
Candidates for this position should bring at least two years of management experience in high-volume, upscale food and beverage environments, preferably luxury hotels or fine dining establishments. Extensive knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and cocktail service is required, along with a strong foundation in restaurant financials including labor management and cost control. Certification in Food Safety Management and responsible alcohol service is preferred or required upon hire. Exceptional organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently are essential in succeeding in this dynamic role.
Joining the Luminary Hotel & Co. Autograph Collection means becoming part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to providing The Individualist traveler with truly personalized and memorable hospitality experiences. Here, you will find a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth, open communication, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of food and beverage management.
