The position available is that of a Restaurant Manager, a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Oxbow Bar & Grill. The Restaurant Manager acts as the cornerstone of guest satisfaction, team engagement, and financial performance management, embodying a hands-on leadership style to foster a culture centered on hospitality and operational excellence. This opportunity is exempt status within the Food & Beverage department, reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. The manager will be instrumental in leading day-to-day operations across all areas including the dining room, patio, bar, host stand, and service support zones. Core responsibilities include guaranteeing exceptional service delivery, swiftly resolving guest concerns to uphold a positive reputation, and actively engaging with guests to ensure repeated patronage. The role requires meticulous oversight of compliance with company core values, safety, cleanliness, and all regulatory standards, including those related to food safety, alcohol service, and health regulations. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in team leadership, encompassing recruitment, training, motivation, and development of staff, as well as fostering a work environment that promotes fairness, accountability, and engagement. Financial acumen is critical, as the role includes managing labor and food and beverage costs, budgeting, scheduling, and contributing to profitability goals. The successful candidate will engage in inventory control, beverage cost management, menu planning, and promotional initiatives, thereby supporting both the operational and marketing objectives of the establishment. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years management experience in high volume restaurant lounge bar upscale dining or hotel food and beverage environment
  • luxury hotel or upscale dining experience preferred
  • extensive knowledge of food wine spirits and cocktail service
  • strong understanding of restaurant financials including labor management beverage cost inventory forecasting and profit and loss review
  • experience managing social media guest feedback and online reputation platforms preferred
  • experience with MICROS EMC OpenTable Marriott systems Workday and Microsoft Office preferred
  • food safety manager certification and responsible alcohol service certification preferred or required upon hire

Job Duties

  • maintain payroll records and approvals
  • lead meetings and training sessions to communicate priorities and information
  • ensure compliance with food safety sanitation health and alcohol service regulations
  • maintain cleanliness organization and maintenance standards
  • train motivate and develop team members
  • recruit interview onboard and retain top talent
  • promote open communication teamwork and accountability
  • uphold service standards uniform procedures and departmental policies
  • manage purchase orders invoice approvals checkbook accounting and expense controls
  • monitor and achieve departmental financial goals including labor beverage and food costs
  • conduct inventories and par checks to minimize waste and maintain product levels
  • monitor beverage controls recipe adherence and portioning standards
  • assist with menu planning beverage programming promotions and initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of market trends competition guest preferences and seasonal demands
  • support marketing initiatives promotions entertainment and special events
  • ensure completion of opening mid shift and closing duties
  • ensure guest privacy and security
  • respond appropriately to emergencies
  • maintain lost and found procedures
  • participate in P L reviews and contribute operational strategies
  • maintain regular attendance and work flexible schedules including nights weekends holidays
  • perform other duties as assigned
