Job Description

STG is a prominent and rapidly expanding intermodal transportation provider operating across North America. As one of the largest players in the industry, STG is widely recognized for its commitment to respecting its Owner Operators by fostering a culture of transparency, fairness, and consistency. The company specializes in offering local and regional drayage services, predominantly from major rail ramps and ports. Its operational philosophy centers around supporting Owner Operators to efficiently manage their business, reduce downtime, and increase earning potential by providing consistent freight opportunities and dedicated lanes. STG’s services play a crucial role in the supply chain, helping move goods swiftly and reliably across vital transport corridors.

STG is currently seeking CDL-A Owner Operators in Atlanta, GA, who are interested in hauling local and regional freight primarily through drayage from rail yards and ports. This role emphasizes getting home every night, offering a lifestyle and earning opportunity that sets it apart from the long-haul trucking norm. Owner Operators contracting with STG benefit from competitive payouts that accurately reflect their skills and efforts, plus significant fuel discounts to help manage costs effectively. The company offers a fuel discount program designed to significantly reduce one of the largest expenses drivers typically face.

In this role, Owner Operators will enjoy the advantages of running on local and regional routes without the stress and time away from home associated with cross-country trucking. Freight primarily involves drop and hook loads, minimizing waiting times and maximizing driving hours. The company provides a supportive operations coordinator to assist with logistics and fleet management, ensuring drivers have the help they need when they need it. STG also prioritizes creating dedicated lanes and growing their network of business to provide Owner Operators with control and consistency in scheduling and revenue.

STG's business model is designed to empower Owner Operators to grow their trucking businesses more sustainably with reliable access to freight, strategic operational support, and financial incentives such as competitive pay and fuel discounts. With an emphasis on home time, operators consistently return to their families, making this an attractive opportunity for those seeking balance without sacrificing income potential.

If you are a motivated CDL-A Owner Operator with your own truck, looking for a company that values your independence while providing steady work and dependable earnings, STG invites you to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for those with verifiable experience, including military drivers who receive credit for prior service, and those interested in expanding their operations locally and regionally with one of the industry’s foremost intermodal leaders. Taking control of your schedule and bottom line through STG’s model could be the next step to advancing your trucking career while maintaining the lifestyle you desire.
