The role of Owner-Operator within Schneider FreightPower is full-time and designed for drivers who want to optimize their earnings while maintaining autonomy over their operations. Drivers can choose loads that offer an all-in revenue rate, eliminating the need to calculate fuel or accessorial charges, or opt for a percent-of-revenue model where they receive 65% of linehaul revenue and 100% of fuel surcharge and accessorial fees upon load completion. This flexibility allows drivers to tailor their workload and compensation to suit their preferences and business goals.
Owner-operators under Schneider’s authority haul dry van trailers, benefiting from 90% drop-and-hook freight with no additional charge, making load transitions faster and more efficient. In addition, Schneider offers a generous incentive package totaling $6,000, distributed as payments over 23 weeks, providing financial support as drivers establish or expand their operations. Other advantages include access to expert equipment sales and leasing providers to help drivers acquire or upgrade their trucks, as well as comprehensive tools like a provided Samsung tablet for seamless communication and management both inside and outside the cab.

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Minimum 6 months Class A driving experience
- Truck(s) must be 2011 or newer
- Truck(s) must pass DOT inspection
- Engine(s) must meet EPA10 emissions requirements
- Truck(s) must have a functioning Collision Mitigation System
