The Owner-Operator position at Schneider offers a unique opportunity for Class A CDL holders to engage in a highly rewarding and autonomous freight hauling career. Owner-operators can choose from a variety of team-friendly loads including express delivery parcel shipments which have significantly increased freight availability. Schneider FreightPower grants access to an expanded pool of 1,000 to 2,000 additional contract and spot market loads daily, providing owners extensive options for maximizing their earnings. The role includes the flexibility of self-dispatch, allowing operators to pick their preferred loads, home time, lanes, and revenue models such as all-in rates or percentages of revenue to best suit their business strategies. This flexibility is complemented by the availability of tech-enabled tools such as a mobile app, Samsung tablet, and comprehensive company support to simplify load selection, planning, and booking.
Owner-operators will haul dry van trailers predominantly featuring 90% drop-and-hook freight at no extra charge while operating under Schneider's authority, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. The position also offers attractive financial incentives including weekly payouts and multiple bonuses. Schneider supports equipment ownership or upgrading by connecting operators with reliable sales and leasing providers. Job Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 6 months of Class A driving experience
- Truck(s) must be 2011 or newer
- Truck(s) must pass a DOT inspection
- Engine(s) must meet EPA10 emissions standards
- Truck(s) must have a functioning Collision Mitigation System
- Ability to do business with another Class A CDL holder
