Job Description

Schneider is a leading transportation and logistics company renowned for its comprehensive freight solutions across North America. With decades of experience, Schneider provides reliable, innovative, and efficient transportation services including truckload, intermodal, and logistics management. Their strong reputation in the freight and transportation industry stems from a commitment to driver safety, technology integration, and flexible freight options. Schneider operates a tech-driven platform that empowers drivers and owner-operators to manage their routes, schedules, and loads efficiently while benefiting from competitive compensation plans and comprehensive benefits. This company supports a wide-ranging fleet that includes tanker trailers, offering a diverse selection of loads suitable for various operational needs and business goals.

This role is for an Owner-Operator with Schneider, a full-time position offering an average revenue range of $190,000 to $285,000 per year. As an owner-operator, you will have the flexibility to select your own loads, control your home time, choose your lanes, and maximize your revenue. The position requires operating under Schneider's authority with the benefit of hauling tanker trailers at no charge. Hands-on loading and unloading of freight is part of the responsibilities, allowing direct involvement in freight handling. The company provides substantial financial incentives, including $570 on the second settlement payment and $315 weekly for 22 weeks, totaling up to $7,500 in incentives, subject to terms and conditions.

Schneider’s approach to owner-operator engagement emphasizes autonomy and support, providing an easy-to-use mobile app to select loads from one of the industry’s largest private freight boards, making it simple to find and haul loads that best fit your business model. Moreover, Schneider offers tools to support success such as pumps, compressors, personal protective equipment, Samsung tablets, and free trailer usage. Orientation time is compensated, and access to discounts on fuel, tires, and maintenance is available through Schneider’s Purchase Power Program. Additionally, the company promotes unlimited referral bonuses and can connect you with equipment sales and leasing providers, helping you secure or upgrade your truck.

Schneider ensures its fleet meets strict regulatory standards, including trucks being 2011 or newer, passing DOT inspections, meeting EPA10 emissions requirements, equipped with functional Collision Mitigation Systems, and having power take-off (PTO) capabilities. These standards reflect the company’s dedication to safety, environmental responsibility, and technological advancement. A Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC), a Tanker endorsement, and a HazMat endorsement are essential qualifications for this role, underscoring the specialized nature of the freight handled.

This Owner-Operator role at Schneider is suited for experienced Class A drivers seeking a stable and lucrative opportunity with the freedom to operate independently while enjoying the benefits, support systems, and resources of a large, well-established company. If you have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, the necessary endorsements, and meet the vehicle requirements, Schneider invites you to join a team committed to operational excellence and driver empowerment.
