The role of Valet Driver at SP+ stationed at the Fairfield Inn in Fort Worth is a full-time position with a night shift from 11pm to 7am and offers a pay rate of $15 per hour plus tips. The Valet Driver plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation and appearance of the parking facility. Responsibilities include managing the vehicle flow, directing customers to parking spaces, ensuring proper parking practices, and keeping the lot clean and orderly. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle parking violations sensitively, and proactive reporting of any maintenance or safety issues to the Facility Manager.

Job Requirements

Less than high school education or equivalent experience
valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record if driving is required
availability to work night shifts including weekends if needed
ability to read and write simple instructions and correspondence
ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including money calculations
maintain neat and clean appearance and wear uniform
ability to stand, walk, use hands frequently
occasionally sit, climb or balance
ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
punctuality and reliability
customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
ability to write simple correspondence
ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations
ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
maintain neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform
valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle is required

Job Duties

Ensure that appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift
park cars in an appropriate fashion
keep the lot clean and presentable
direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed
write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors violating garage policies
patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or motor carts
provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked
be punctual and in uniform every scheduled day
courteously assist customers by answering questions
direct customers to Facility Manager if needed
control traffic at entrances and exits
assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment
report accidents, violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences
communicate hazards like debris, spills to garage office
substitute for valets when authorized
maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas and local streets
assist Facility Manager with additional duties as needed
