The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is an integral position within the hospitality team, focused on delivering exceptional hospitality services during overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am. Guest Service Associates are responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and friendly parking experience for guests by promptly parking and retrieving vehicles while adhering to all safety guidelines. They provide bell services, assist with luggage handling, and offer helpful information about the facility and local attractions to enhance the overall guest experience. This position requires a professional and courteous demeanor, with the ability to greet guests warmly and use their last names to personalize interactions. Maintaining a clear understanding of parking rates and procedures is essential, as is the ability to manage claims checks and vehicle keys with accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple English instructions
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Basic arithmetic skills including operations with American currency
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time formats
  • Ability to understand applicable parking rates and time procedures
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles highly desirable
  • Capability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
