The hourly base pay for the Guest Service Associate position ranges from $19.18 to $19.50 per hour, with an additional $2.21 shift differential for overnight shifts. The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position responsible for providing outstanding hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly and assisting guests with luggage delivery and pickup during arrival and departure when applicable. Working the overnight shift from 11 pm to 7 am, the associate will maintain a professional demeanor while welcoming guests by using proper salutations, acknowledging them within five feet, and addressing guests by their last names to enhance the personalized service experience. Responsibilities also include explaining parking rates, issuing claim checks only upon receipt of vehicle keys, and ensuring all ticket information is accurately completed and maintained. The Guest Service Associate must also provide directional assistance, coordinate taxis and reservations, inform guests about hotel amenities and local attractions, and deliver messages and guest items as required.

This role demands a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina as much of the work occurs outdoors and involves lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs, and handling vehicles with caution. The position requires the ability to operate vehicles safely, including manual transmissions and performing parallel parking, which is highly desirable. The associate will work under established departmental guidelines with routine duties supervised regularly, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and efficient operation to avoid errors that could disrupt service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to provide customer and personal services
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to drive vehicles cautiously and perform manual transmission operation is a plus
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and co-workers
  • Willingness to follow established practices and procedures with supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain accuracy in ticketing and revenue collection

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
