Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license for the state applied to work or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand time systems
- Ability to operate vehicle manually is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to lifting and standing
- Willingness to work overnight shifts
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow established operational guidelines and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state or a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including with American money
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly manner and guest's last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests, practicing proper phone etiquette
- Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and slowly
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries
- Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles as needed
