The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is an overnight position with a schedule from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and offers an hourly base pay range of $16 to $18 per hour, supplemented by tips ranging from $5 to $10 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to understand time systems and parking rates
- Ability to operate manual transmission is desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable rates
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue when needed
