The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park is a vital role centered on providing excellent hospitality services to guests with friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism. This position is based primarily in an overnight work schedule and offers an hourly wage starting at $21.13 per hour, plus tips, with an additional $1 shift differential for overnight hours. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and efficiently while assisting guests with their luggage during arrival and departure. Along with vehicle services, associates manage guest communications, provide directions, facilitate reservations and taxi arrangements, and help with overall guest inquiries and needs to enhance their experience at the facility. The role requires maintaining a pleasant demeanor with guests and coworkers alike, using guests' names in interactions to foster a personalized connection.

In addition to guest interaction duties, the associate is responsible for handling parking logistics including issuing claim checks, collecting payments, ensuring vehicle safety, and accurately completing all ticketing and key tracking paperwork. This role demands attentiveness to detail, efficiency in vehicle handling including the ability to operate manual transmissions, and a thorough knowledge of parking procedures and rates. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking, lifting moderate weights, and working outdoors in various weather conditions, reflecting the hands-on and active nature of the job. Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand time-based rate calculations
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guests' last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags and damage surveys
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
