Adherence to policies concerning parking procedures including issuing claim checks, conducting damage surveys, and handling transactions accurately is pivotal to the role. \n\nThe physical demands include extended periods of standing or sitting, occasional heavy lifting up to 100 pounds, and exposure to varying weather conditions as much of the work occurs outdoors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for state of employment or commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to follow simple instructions
  • Good communication skills for presenting information
  • Basic math skills with American currency
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time
  • Availability to work overnight shifts
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to perform safe vehicle parking and retrieval

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division involving American currency
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems and applicable rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper company phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
