Serving as the tangible face of Towne Park’s hospitality, the Guest Service Associate maintains a positive and professional demeanor at all times. The role demands not only operational skills in vehicle handling and safety but also strong interpersonal skills such as greeting guests warmly, using proper telephone etiquette, and offering personalized interactions by addressing guests by their last names. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for applicable state or commutable location
- One month related experience or training
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend instructions and write correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Basic math skills including operations with money
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time
- Understanding of applicable rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state of work or commutable from the state
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand applicable parking rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully and safely
- Assist guests with bell services including luggage storage and handling
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon guest arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain parking ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking fees as needed
