The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park plays a vital role in maintaining the company’s reputation for superior guest service. Additionally, the associate assists guests with their luggage, including delivery and pickup services during arrival and departure when applicable. The associate provides information about amenities, local attractions, and assists with directions, reservations, and transportation arrangements. They are responsible for explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures clearly, managing claim checks and vehicle keys with accuracy, and ensuring all ticket information is meticulously recorded. Towne Park offers this position as an overnight shift role with an hourly base pay of $14 plus tips. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting luggage and exerting force up to 100 pounds are important for this role. Since much of the work occurs outdoors, the associate must be prepared to handle different weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or a commutable distance from that state
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients, and employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand parking rates
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or nearby commutable area
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal services principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved places
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue when needed
