The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is designed for individuals who excel in delivering exceptional hospitality services with friendliness, attentiveness, and efficiency. This position primarily involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly while assisting guests with luggage and other services during their arrival and departure. Scheduled for the overnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, this role offers an hourly base pay ranging from $9 to $10, with additional shift differentials and tips ranging from $5 to $10 per hour, making it a financially rewarding opportunity. The Guest Service Associate plays a critical role in creating a positive first and last impression for guests by maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor and providing clear communication regarding parking procedures and amenities.

In this role, associates greet guests warmly within five feet, using professional language and personalized interactions such as using guests' last names. They assist in vehicle handling, ensuring safe driving and careful parking while delivering excellent bell service, including luggage handling and storage. The associate also supports guests with inquiries about directions, taxis, reservations, and facility amenities, acting as a knowledgeable resource to enhance the guest experience.

Towne Park emphasizes accuracy and organization in all operational procedures; thus, the Guest Service Associate is responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, and damage surveys. This role requires careful handling of claim checks and the collection of revenue as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift heavy objects, operate manual transmissions, and endure working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The position demands a valid driver’s license and at least one month of related experience or equivalent education and training.

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to work overnight shift hours from 11 PM to 7 AM
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow established operations and safety procedures
  • Willingness to provide excellent guest service and support
  • Ability to perform duties with specific direction and supervision
  • Ability to use proper phone etiquette
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
