The Overnight Valet Attendant position at Embassy Suites Buffalo is a part-time role, typically scheduled from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is essential due to the variable hours based on business needs. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about cars and customer service who seek a dynamic and rewarding opportunity in hospitality.
The role involves the safe and courteous movement and parking of guest vehicles, ensuring quick turnaround times without sacrificing safety. Valet attendants must maintain clear and organized records of keys and tickets and operate vehicles responsibly in designated parking areas. Beyond vehicle logistics, the role demands excellent guest interaction skills, as attendants assist with check-in inquiries, directions, and luggage handling, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Physical demands of the job require constant movement, including sitting, standing, walking, and stair climbing, along with the ability to lift luggage up to 75 pounds and push or pull loads up to 500 pounds with assistance. The role also requires manual dexterity and a high degree of alertness to uphold safety standards in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational setting.
Embassy Suites Buffalo seeks candidates with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and evidence of insurability. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, prior hospitality experience and certifications such as CPR or First Aid are advantageous. Strong communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to operate hotel computer systems are also critical for success.
