About the Role: The Valet Attendant position plays a vital role in delivering top-tier service to guests by managing vehicle parking and retrieval with the utmost care, efficiency, and friendliness. This role requires a high level of attentiveness and a welcoming demeanor as the first point of contact for many guests arriving at the property. Key responsibilities include opening car doors and hotel entrance doors, assisting with guest luggage during arrivals and departures, and providing guests with accurate information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. The Valet Attendant is also responsible for maintaining the safety and security of vehicles and parking facilities, ensuring smooth traffic flow within the property, and supporting the front office and concierge staff as needed.
The position demands physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, running short distances multiple times daily, and frequently entering and exiting guests' vehicles. The Valet Attendant is expected to uphold all company policies, including safety protocols, personal appearance standards, and teamwork values. This role requires a valid driver's license held for at least one year and a commitment to providing exceptional hospitality with a professional and courteous attitude. Job Requirements
- Standing at least 8 hours a day
- Running up to 200 yards 50 times a day or more
- Entering and exiting customers vehicles 75 or more times daily
- Lifting wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, gifts in and out of customers vehicles
- A valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle held for at least one year prior to applying
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hospitality or valet services preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license held for at least one year
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand and move for long periods
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently

Job Duties
- Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
- Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property to ensure legal parking and efficient flow
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest
- Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas and report hazards or security issues
- Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
- Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
- Identify and explain room features to guests
- Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and designated bell area
- Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
- Assist guests in and out of vehicles, including loading/unloading luggage
- Assist Concierge and Front Office staff with guest requests and services as needed
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
