Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, entertainment venues, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers. With annual revenues approaching $8 billion and a workforce exceeding 100,000 team members operating from over 350 offices throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM has built a reputation for reliability and excellence in service delivery.
The company offers a diverse range of essential services that include janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy management, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical systems, landscaping, turf management, and mission-critical solutions, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
This job opening is for a Supervisor role at ABM Aviation, specifically at an airport location where operational precision and customer service standards are paramount. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.00, with the potential for variation based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data alignment.
The Supervisor will be a pivotal part of the team, responsible for driving day-to-day operational performance and ensuring that all tasks meet the company's stringent quality expectations while adhering to shift schedules and staffing needs. This role demands a proactive leader who can effectively manage front-line employees, ensuring their compliance with safety, security, and quality standards including those mandated by regulatory bodies such as TSA.
Key responsibilities include scheduling, coverage management, attendance administration, operational communication with clients, coaching and disciplinary actions, conducting audits, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment. The role also entails coordinating personnel movement within airport terminals and garages, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds for the majority of the shift in a moderate to heavy noise environment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in English, both verbal and written, possess basic computer skills, and exhibit strong reasoning abilities to navigate standardized operational challenges.
The position requires compliance with ABM grooming standards, mandatory display of Airport ID/SIDA badges, and qualifications for airfield driving if applicable. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, pass a drug screen, and clear a background check along with fulfilling airport security badge requirements.
ABM is dedicated to equal employment opportunities and encourages applications from qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. The company offers reasonable accommodations for disabilities throughout the recruitment process and participates in the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
Joining ABM means becoming part of a military-friendly employer that values the skills and training veterans bring, offering robust career development opportunities across various levels and functions. Interested candidates are directed to apply through ABM's official website as unsolicited resumes are not accepted.
