The company is recognized for its innovative supply chain management, customer-centric approach, and dedication to sustainability and community engagement.
This position is based at Walmart's location in Colorado Springs, CO, and serves as a managerial role focused on leading and developing store teams to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The manager will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of store operations including merchandising, financial performance, inventory management, and customer service initiatives. This involves collaborating with all levels of associates, fostering a culture of belonging, and leading company change efforts aligned with Walmart's business strategies and ethical standards.
In this role, the manager will model Walmart’s One Best Way (OBW) service model, ensuring high-quality customer experiences and resolving issues to maintain customer loyalty. They will analyze profit and loss statements, participate in budgeting and forecasting, and ensure operational processes are followed to meet sales and profit goals. The position also includes responsibilities for recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing hourly associates, promoting a positive workplace culture where diversity is respected and associates feel valued and connected.
Walmart emphasizes integrity, ethical conduct, and accountability in all business activities. This role supports those values by enforcing company policies, supporting open communication channels such as the Open Door Policy, and contributing to Walmart’s goals of sustainability and social responsibility. The manager is expected to lead by example, maintaining high standards of conduct and fostering an environment where associates are motivated to learn, grow, and contribute their best work.
The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 annually, with additional performance-based bonuses and potential location-based pay differentials. Walmart provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k) plans, stock purchase options, paid time off including sick leave and parental leave, disability insurance, company discounts, and educational programs such as Live Better U. This education program supports associates in obtaining high school diplomas, college degrees, and professional certificates with tuition and fees fully covered by Walmart.
Successful candidates will need to meet minimum qualifications such as college education or relevant retail and supervisory experience. There are also preferred qualifications like a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or comparable certified programs. Candidates must be prepared to comply with all job-required trainings and background checks, including specific requirements for stores selling firearms or ammunition.
This role is a significant opportunity for individuals who want to thrive in a retail leadership position within one of the world’s most successful and socially responsible companies.
