Walmart is a leading global retailer renowned for its commitment to providing customers with affordable products and exceptional service. With thousands of stores worldwide, Walmart is dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous growth for its associates. The company emphasizes community engagement, sustainability, and innovation in retail, striving to create a shopping experience that meets the evolving needs of its customers. Walmart offers competitive pay and extensive benefits designed to support the well-being of its employees, including health coverage, financial benefits, paid time off, and education programs. This particular position is located at 4550 Kester Mill Rd, Winston Salem, NC, and offers an annual salary range between $65,000 and $80,000, along with performance-based bonuses and additional compensation such as regional pay adjustments.

The role focuses on leading and developing teams effectively by coaching, training, and actively engaging with store associates. This leadership position involves extensive interaction with associates across all levels, supporting store operations through the use of technology, merchandising strategies, and business initiatives. A key responsibility is to model and uphold outstanding customer service standards by following Walmart's One Best Way (OBW) service model, ensuring that customer needs are met promptly and effectively. The position requires driving the financial performance of the store area by managing profit and loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to align with sales targets. Additionally, the role demands overseeing merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes while implementing action plans to reduce shrinkage and improve sales and profitability.

Another vital aspect of the role is supervising and developing hourly associates through recruitment, training, mentoring, performance management, and fostering a workplace culture that promotes belonging and respect for individuals. The leader will also be responsible for coordinating job-related activities, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and supporting company plans and initiatives. Furthermore, compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity is essential, with an emphasis on supporting Walmart's Open Door Policy and encouraging a safe and productive work environment.

The position also champions Walmart's core values, including respect for individuals by embracing diverse backgrounds and perspectives, acting with integrity by maintaining high ethical standards, and serving customers by delivering results that prioritize their needs. Drive for excellence is encouraged by fostering a culture of learning, resilience, and continuous improvement while adapting to new technologies and changes. Walmart provides educational opportunities through the Live Better U program, enabling associates to pursue degrees and certifications fully funded by the company. The comprehensive benefits package supports associates' physical, financial, and emotional well-being, making this role ideal for those who aspire to grow their retail leadership career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
