Walmart's mission centers on helping people save money and live better. The company embraces innovation, community involvement, sustainability initiatives, and a strong culture of respect for individuals and ethical business practices.
The role being offered is a Store Manager position located at a Walmart facility in Prairieville, LA. This full-time job comes with a competitive annual salary range of $65,000 to $100,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses and other compensation such as regional pay differentials depending on location. The Store Manager will lead and develop store teams, guiding hourly associates through training, mentoring, and performance management to drive operational excellence. The position also entails driving financial performance by analyzing profit and loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses within the store's designated business area.
In this role, the Store Manager will focus on customer service excellence by modeling the Walmart One Best Way service standard and supporting initiatives such as community outreach programs. Handling customer needs, complaints, and resolving issues is a key responsibility to ensure high satisfaction levels. The manager will oversee merchandise presentation, inventory flow, seasonal transitions, and operational processes to promote a seamless shopping experience and meet sales goals while mitigating shrinkage.
The leader must foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging among associates, creating an environment where diversity is valued and everyone is empowered to contribute. Strong communication, collaboration with stakeholders, and adaptability in promoting continuous learning are essential qualities. The role demands integrity, ethical conduct, and accountability to uphold Walmart’s core values, promote a safe workplace, and support business initiatives with a customer-first approach.
Walmart offers comprehensive benefits for this role, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) plans with company stock purchase options; various paid time off types such as sick leave, parental leave, and bereavement; disability insurance; employee discounts; and family support programs including adoption and surrogacy reimbursement. The company emphasizes associate well-being through Live Better U education programs, fully funding tuition and fees toward degrees and certificates.
