Job Description
The Parking Spot is a prominent and established company with over 25 years of experience in the airport parking industry. As the largest near-airport parking company in the United States, it proudly employs over 2,000 team members across more than 40 locations nationwide. The company offers a unique Employee Ownership Program, allowing every team member to gain a financial stake in The Parking Spot’s overall success. This structure fosters a strong sense of community and shared responsibility among employees, all committed to delivering exceptional service to guests throughout the country. The Parking Spot has positioned itself as a leader in the parking and shuttle transportation sector, consistently focusing on safety, customer care, and professional development.
The role of Shuttle Driver is critical to the company’s daily operations and guest experience. This full-time position requires working overnight shifts and demands a Class B license with a passenger endorsement. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for safely transporting up to 15 passengers between the parking facility and airport terminals promptly and courteously. Beyond the essential driving duties, they play an integral part in ensuring customers receive a warm welcome and efficient service. Drivers perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, assist with passengers’ luggage, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the parking facility and airport layout. They also comply with all regulations governing commercial vehicle operation, ensuring both passenger safety and legal compliance.
The Parking Spot values team spirit and high standards of service, seeking candidates who align with these principles to join their professional team. Employees enjoy consistent schedules, opportunities for immediate conditional offers following interviews, and the potential for earning tips both in cash and via mobile payment platforms. The position also provides access to a broader benefits program for eligible employees, including medical, vision, dental insurance, and 401(k) plans. Paid time off, vacation pay, and paid holidays are part of the comprehensive benefits package that supports employee well-being and work-life balance. Training and ongoing professional development are prioritized to help Shuttle Drivers grow within the company. The company maintains a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a welcoming and respectful environment for all employees and customers alike.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a clean driving record. Previous driving or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must pass a physical examination consistent with airport, federal DOT, and state requirements and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds to assist guests with their luggage. The ability to communicate effectively in English is vital for interaction with the public and compliance with regulatory documentation. This role offers not only a steady paycheck with a competitive hourly wage of $18.87 plus tips but also a chance to be part of a growing and supportive company that values every employee as an owner.
