Job Requirements
- U.S. work authorization is required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize room deliveries
- Strong communication skills
- Food Handler's Permit
- Mixologist Permit
- Flexible schedule including overnight, morning and night shifts
Job Qualifications
- Previous exposure to hotel operating systems (Opera, Micros POS and Hotsos systems preferred)
- Flexible work hours to include overnight, morning and night shifts
- Food Handler's Permit and Mixologist Permit
- Previous room service serving experience a plus
- Strong communication skills necessary for the success of this role
Job Duties
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order
- Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods
- communicate options for removal of trays and dishware
- respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Ability to answer calls in the absence of the order taker or manager
- Check the guests in-room private bar daily and restock accordingly
- communicate with order taker any special private bar requests or needs
- remove private bar contents upon guest request and re-stock when guest departs
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in room deliveries to ensure orders requests are delivered in a timely manner
- deliver and set up guest amenities
