Job Description
Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) is a respected organization dedicated to honoring and serving older adults through compassionate care inspired by Christ's love. Operating eight continuing-care retirement communities across Texas, MRC fosters an environment where seniors receive holistic care tailored to their individual needs. Among its affiliated communities is The Langford Retirement Community, situated in College Station, Texas, which stands out as a leader in continuing care retirement living. The Langford offers a comprehensive continuum of services including independent living, assisted living, and memory support designed to meet the evolving requirements of its residents. The community's commitment to exceptional quality is reflected in its certification by the Eden Alternative Registry. This prestigious certification is awarded to organizations that transform traditional care models into person-directed approaches prioritizing the dignity, individuality, and well-being of each resident.
At The Langford, the Receptionist plays a vital role as the welcoming face and voice of the community. This position offers the unique opportunity to make every resident, family member, and visitor feel valued the moment they enter the facility. Serving in this role on an as-needed (PRN) basis with night shift hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, the Receptionist is crucial in maintaining a friendly, organized, and supportive atmosphere. While prior front desk experience is preferred, it is not required. The most essential qualities for candidates include a genuine passion for serving seniors, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a dedication to providing extraordinary customer service. The Langford team embraces employees who demonstrate commitment, kindness, and the ability to connect meaningfully with older adults in their care. As part of the Methodist Retirement Communities network, staff members benefit from a stable and values-driven workplace culture that emphasizes respect, compassion, and excellence in senior living services. Candidates seeking a rewarding position within a supportive environment will find this opportunity at The Langford to be both meaningful and fulfilling.
