Job Description

BURGER KING® is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain, known as the original HOME OF THE WHOPPER®. Established in 1954, it has grown to become the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. BURGER KING® prides itself on offering high-quality, great-tasting, and affordable food, in a family-friendly dining atmosphere. Serving more than 11 million guests daily across numerous locations worldwide, BURGER KING® emphasizes premium ingredients and signature recipes that set it apart in the fast-food industry. The company is committed to maintaining its reputation for excellent customer service and operational excellence through rigorous standards and a dedicated leadership team.

The Overnight Manager (OM) at BURGER KING® plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of the restaurant during overnight hours. Acting as the operations leader during this critical period, the OM focuses on driving profitability, enhancing guest service, fostering people development, and overseeing all facets of restaurant operations. The OM supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by managing daily restaurant functions and leading a team of 20 to 45 employees, including Hourly Shift Coordinators and Team Members. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant — from inventory to guest experience and operational standards — perform efficiently and meet company expectations.

Key responsibilities of the Overnight Manager include managing inventory costs with daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, placing and receiving inventory orders, and maintaining a current list of restaurant assets. They also oversee preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment to adhere to company standards, liaising with external vendors as necessary. Ensuring strict adherence to cash control and security procedures, such as safe counting and cash drawer management, is a critical part of the job. The OM motivates and directs team members to deliver superior guest service quickly, accurately, and in a welcoming environment. Coaching, training, and providing feedback to team members and Shift Coordinators is essential to elevate the team's capabilities and overall restaurant performance.

From an operations perspective, the OM directs the team in efficient preparation and sale of products consistent with speed of service goals and brand standards. They also step in to perform duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when needed, demonstrating versatility and leadership. The position requires availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and the flexibility to handle long or irregular shifts to ensure the restaurant’s optimal functioning. This role offers a competitive hourly pay range from $17 to $19 and is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, providing a flexible schedule including night shifts and weekend availability.

Working at BURGER KING® offers team members a variety of benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, referral programs, employee discounts, and paid training opportunities. Those who thrive here enjoy being part of a hardworking team committed to exceeding guest expectations and maintaining one of the most reputable fast-food brands worldwide. As an Overnight Manager, individuals will gain leadership experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
