Job Description

Davidson Hospitality Group is a distinguished and award-winning full-service hospitality management company that operates a broad array of hotels, restaurants, dining, and entertainment venues across the United States. Renowned for its entrepreneurial management style and owners' mentality, Davidson provides personalized service with the skill and experience of a large company, making it a trusted partner for prestigious brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville. This unique blend of individualized service and operational expertise allows Davidson to deliver exceptional value both to their owners and team members, supported by four specialized operating verticals: Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts, and Davidson Restaurant Group.

One of Davidson Hospitality Group's most exciting projects is the upcoming reopening of the Royal Palm South Beach Miami, planned for 2026 following an extensive $110 million renovation. This iconic beachfront hotel, situated at the prime intersection of Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive, promises to be a refreshed landmark within the vibrant South Beach community. Rising 17 stories above the shoreline, the Royal Palm will offer 404 redesigned guestrooms along with 20,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space. This dynamic design-forward environment will seamlessly blend business and leisure to appeal to guests attending high-impact meetings, incentive travel programs, lifestyle-centric gatherings, and unforgettable group events.

The Royal Palm South Beach Miami is poised to reclaim its status as one of the most exciting premium lifestyle hotels in South Beach, delivering direct access to pristine beaches, the oceanfront boardwalk, and the cultural, dining, and entertainment attractions that define Miami Beach, including Lincoln Road and Espanola Way. This project represents a rare opportunity to become part of a landmark reopening, where team members contribute to shaping a bold vision, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a collaborative culture rooted in creativity and elevated hospitality.

The role of the Night Manager/Manager on Duty (MOD) at the Royal Palm South Beach Miami is pivotal to the hotel’s success. This position oversees daily operations across the Rooms division and Food and Beverage outlets, which include the Restaurant, Lounge, and Room Service. The Night Manager/MOD works closely with other managers to ensure smooth operational flow while coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the outlets. Responsibilities extend to preparing essential reports such as wage reports, payroll, revenue tracking, budgeting, and employee scheduling.

Additionally, the Night Manager is involved in menu planning and preparation, ensuring adherence to local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations. The role demands hands-on involvement, requiring the manager to be present on the floor to support both staff and guests as needed. Key duties also include conducting training and cross-training sessions, handling guest complaints efficiently, and participating in meetings to align operational strategies.

This role requires college-level reasoning, math, and language skills, combined with at least two years of prior departmental management experience in front office or related disciplines. Effective time management and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and manage each department discipline independently. The Night Manager/MOD must possess an understanding of employment and innkeeper laws relevant to the jurisdiction, prior cash handling experience, and demonstrate strong communication skills in English. Computer proficiency is also a requisite, alongside a commitment to safety and health standards that prevent any direct threat to self or others.

Joining Davidson Hospitality Group and the Royal Palm South Beach Miami team offers unparalleled professional growth within a culture that values creativity, collaboration, and dedication to quality hospitality. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package focusing on enriching the lives and well-being of its employees and their families, making this not just a job but a rewarding career opportunity in the vibrant hospitality industry. If you are passionate about lifestyle hospitality and aspire to contribute meaningfully to a landmark hotel reopening, this is your moment to join an iconic brand at an exciting phase of transformation.
