The Overnight Manager at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa holds a pivotal role in maintaining the seamless operation of the resort during the overnight hours. This full-time management position carries responsibility for overseeing and directing the Night Audit team and all late-evening and overnight departments. Acting as the senior leader on property throughout the night, the Overnight Manager ensures continuity of service, safety, and an outstanding guest experience that aligns with the resort’s luxury brand standards.

In this leadership role, the Overnight Manager is entrusted with significant responsibilities such as managing guest services, maintaining financial accuracy through the night audit process, and ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. The position demands proactive problem-solving skills, the ability to handle diverse situations calmly and decisively, and excellent communication capabilities to coordinate effectively with staff and morning leadership. Additionally, this role involves supervising front desk personnel, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure all operational needs are met without disruption.

Job Requirements

  • minimum 1-2 years of luxury or mid-scale hotel front office experience in supervisory or management capacity
  • front office and/or housekeeping management experience preferred
  • associate's or bachelor's degree from accredited university preferred
  • proficiency in property management systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid California driver's license
  • ability to work overnight including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • strong command of English both written and verbal
  • proven ability to remain composed and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work overnight schedules including weekends holidays
  • valid California driver's license

Job Duties

  • manage and monitor activities of front office employees ensuring adherence to standards and policies
  • direct and oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety
