The Overnight Residences Concierge and Loss Prevention role at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia is a crucial position focused on maintaining safety, security, and superior guest service during the overnight shift. The individual in this role acts as the primary point of contact for Residence owners and their guests, responding promptly to requests related to visitor information, special arrangements such as transportation, reservations, and services like dry cleaning. This position entails monitoring the property through security systems, including Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. The Overnight Residences Concierge is responsible for locking and securing property entrances when required, acting as a Loss Prevention representative when necessary, and maintaining coverage for the Concierge team during breaks. Duties also include assisting with special requests from residents and guests, processing and recording all communications accurately, and coordinating with relevant departments such as Engineering, Bell Services, and Housekeeping to resolve issues.
In addition to operational responsibilities, this role involves documenting incidents in logbooks and effectively communicating reports to subsequent shifts. Critical incident management skills are essential, as the Overnight Residences Concierge may need to escort unwelcome individuals from the property discreetly or respond to vehicle accidents or thefts by calling for assistance using proper protocols. The position also includes performing Lobby Ambassador tasks, providing a welcoming presence that aligns with The Ritz-Carlton’s esteemed reputation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
