Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in hospitality industry preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
  • knowledge of proper sanitation regulation and chemical handling
  • physically able to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting 25-60 lbs, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, stretching, climbing stairs and ladders
  • able to perform repetitive motions
  • able to work independently and under pressure
  • good visual and auditory abilities

  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
  • ability to count
  • ability to read and write legibly
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
  • familiar with proper sanitation regulation
  • knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • high school education or its equivalent preferred
  • previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
  • high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • bright and organized, detail oriented, confident and efficient person with great people skills and a can-do attitude
  • able to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
  • able to work with minimum supervision

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates a room
  • dusting and polishing furniture, light fixtures and ceiling fans
  • sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors and shampooing carpets when necessary
  • organizing and stocking guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, and stationery
  • changing linens and towels with clean replacements
  • removing waste from wastebaskets and ashtrays and disposing of it properly
  • maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils including plates, glasses, bowls, and silverware using industrial dishwasher and hand polishing
