We are currently seeking an Overnight Houseperson to join the Thompson Hotel team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel throughout the night shift, ensuring that the guest experience remains flawless from the moment they arrive until the end of their stay. This position requires a detail-oriented and physically capable individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards in the presentation of guest areas including hallways, elevator landings, stairwells, linen closets, and service landings.
The Overnight Houseperson will work closely with other departments, ensuring that all guest areas are pristine while also responding to the spontaneous needs of guests with authenticity and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include regular cleaning and upkeep of corridors and guest room doors, removing trays, keeping ice machine rooms clean, and maintaining linen and supply levels. This role demands a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the stamina to handle labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads throughout the shift.
In addition to physical maintenance duties, this position involves directly supporting the guest experience by promptly responding to guest requests and ensuring a safe and secure environment for both guests and associates. Job Requirements
- Physical stamina to lift, push and pull heavy weights on a consistent basis

Job Duties
- Keeps the service landings clean and organized
- Removes trays from the guest floors
- Keeps corridors on guest room floors clean
- Maintains cleanliness of stairwells
- Dusts baseboards and pictures in guest corridors daily
- Ensures all guest room doors are free of scuff marks
- Keeps ice machine room clean
- Keeps guest elevator landings clean
- Moves furniture upon request
- Completes guest requests
- Maintains a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Ensures hotel guests and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment
- Ensures that assigned service landing closets are stocked at proper linen and supply par levels
- Empties guest room linens on an hourly basis or as needed
- Empties guest room garbage on an hourly basis or as needed
- Communicates with Guest Room and assists with stripping guest rooms
- Performs all other duties as assigned by leadership
