This position is for an Overnight Cleaner who will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the hotel's public and guest areas during the overnight shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. The role demands a proactive approach in responding promptly to guest requests and coordination with other departments for urgent repairs or maintenance needs. The Overnight Cleaner will also be responsible for handling furniture arrangements, cleaning hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and other common spaces, ensuring all areas remain pristine and orderly throughout the night. Duties include removing debris, room service items, newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near housekeeper carts to maintain an uncluttered environment.

Core competencies required for this role include thorough cleaning with attention to detail such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and washing various surfaces including walls, windows, and woodwork. The candidate must be comfortable using a range of cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, vacuums, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines while adhering strictly to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Additionally, the ability to assist housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests, as well as monitor and report missing or damaged items, is essential for maintaining both quality and security within the hotel.

Physical requirements for the position are also significant since this job necessitates standing, walking, bending for long periods, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds regularly with assistance for heavier loads, and working with cleaning chemicals.
