Job Description

The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is a distinguished luxury hotel located in the prestigious Gold Coast neighborhood, one of Chicago's most vibrant and sought-after areas. Renowned as one of the Best Hotels in the World and the Best Hotel Spa in the United States, this AAA-Five-Diamond and Forbes 4-Star property epitomizes elegance and exceptional service. The hotel’s design draws inspiration from the grand Parisian hotels of the 1920s, offering guests a unique blend of historic charm and modern sophistication. With 215 beautifully appointed rooms, over 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and four exquisite food and beverage outlets—including a restaurant, two bars, and room service—the Waldorf Astoria Chicago caters to both leisure and business travelers seeking luxury and convenience in the heart of the city. Positioned among iconic Oak Street retailers, the bustling Rush Street restaurant scene, nightlife hotspots, and the majestic Magnificent Mile, the hotel provides guests with unparalleled access to Chicago's finest experiences.

Joining the Waldorf Astoria Chicago team as the Overnight Front Office Manager offers a remarkable opportunity for hospitality professionals to contribute to an esteemed brand recognized for excellence. In this role, you will lead and manage the overnight frontline operations, ensuring that every guest interacts with the warmth and sophistication that defines the hotel. Your responsibilities will span overseeing guest services, registration processes, and room inventory management while maintaining strict adherence to the company’s operational standards and policies. The position requires vigilance in monitoring guest satisfaction levels, swiftly addressing issues, and implementing service improvements that elevate the overall guest experience.

As an Overnight Front Office Manager, you will be a key player in driving the hotel's revenue initiatives through effective promotion of services and tactical upselling. Equally important is your role in fostering team knowledge by regularly updating staff on the hotel’s offerings and local attractions, ensuring that they are well-prepared to assist guests. Leading and developing the front office team is a core aspect of this job, where your leadership, coaching, and performance monitoring will create a positive and productive environment. The role is integral to maintaining the high hospitality standards and internal culture that the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton brands are celebrated for.

Waldorf Astoria values a passion for hospitality, integrity in all actions, effective leadership, strong teamwork, ownership of responsibilities, and urgency in execution. This role demands an exceptional ability to inspire and uplift team members while making immediate and lasting impacts on guests' stays. Hilton supports its team members through comprehensive benefits including travel perks, stock purchase programs, paid parental leave, caregiving support, crisis assistance, mental health resources, and generous paid time off, ensuring that staff wellness is prioritized alongside guest satisfaction.

If you aspire to be part of an award-winning workplace with a culture that has been recognized by Great Place to Work and Fortune as one of the World’s Best Workplaces, this position offers the perfect environment to grow your career in hospitality. At the Waldorf Astoria Chicago, every day you will help create unforgettable experiences for guests while contributing meaningfully to your team and community.
