The Auditor position at The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis is a full-time, non-management role situated within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations department. This position specifically prefers candidates available for a five-day overnight shift schedule. The Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of all guest check-ins and check-outs while maintaining exceptional guest service standards. Auditors are responsible for confirming reservations, room assignments, and payment processing including handling room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit transactions. They also resolve any late and disputed charges during checkout with precision and care.

Professionals in this role manage telephone communications by answering, recording, and processing guest calls, messages, and requests swiftly and courteously. Coordination with the Housekeeping team to verify room readiness is essential, as is communicating parking procedures to guests and ensuring that bell or valet staff are dispatched as required. Auditors provide guests with detailed information about the property and local attractions, enhancing the overall guest experience. Their responsibilities extend to generating and analyzing daily reports such as arrivals and departures, checking for accuracy, and completing cashier and closing documentation in compliance with accounting standards. The role demands adherence to all safety, security, and company policies to ensure a safe and professional work environment.

The Auditor is expected to maintain a clean and professional appearance, uphold confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect hotel assets. Guest interaction is a focal point of the position, requiring warm welcomes, anticipation of guest needs, assistance for individuals with disabilities, and genuine expressions of appreciation. Clear and professional communication, proper telephone etiquette, and the development of positive working relationships are integral to success. The position also involves physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds.   • process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
  • process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges
  • answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed
  • supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
