This particular opportunity is for a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position based at the W Nashville, located at 300 12th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee. The role is focused on the overnight shift and is a crucial function within the culinary team, ensuring that food preparation and quality standards are upheld to meet the high expectations synonymous with both Marriott International and the W Hotels brand. As a Food Preparation Associate in this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients critical for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, and ensuring all food items are weighed, measured, and mixed precisely according to recipes. Your expertise will extend to operating various kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers, while testing food for quality and proper cooking. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment is a top priority, as is setting up and breaking down your workstation efficiently at the start and end of your shift.

In addition to culinary tasks, you will actively participate in adhering to company safety policies, reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management promptly. This role requires a professional demeanor, clear communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds, reflecting the hands-on nature of this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of related culinary or food preparation experience
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Adherence to safety and security policies
  • Commitment to professional appearance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
