Job Description

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is a respected provider of community-based services dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a mission-driven organization, Mentor Community Services believes that every person has the right to live well and enjoy a fulfilling career. With over 50 years of history and a network of 40,000 team members, Sevita has established itself as a leader in home and community-based specialized health care across the United States. The organization supports over 50,000 individuals by providing quality services and personalized supports that foster growth, independence, and well-being regardless of the physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges they face. Sevita's commitment is reflected in its approach to care, emphasizing respect, dignity, and meaningful community connections for those they serve.

This position is for an Overnight PRN Caregiver based in Clarks Summit, offering a pay rate of $16 per hour, with the possibility of an additional $2 per hour shift differential, based on location and availability. The PRN schedule offers overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on an as-needed basis, without guaranteed hours. The role requires dedication to attending a paid orientation week that runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the flexibility to work with individuals who may exhibit high behaviors, including physical and verbal aggression. PRN caregivers play a crucial role by filling in for absent staff and covering shifts to maintain consistent support for participants. To remain active, caregivers must work at least one shift per month.

As a caregiver at Sevita, you will find a purposeful career helping people grow, learn, and live their best lives. You will develop meaningful relationships with participants, gaining ownership and trust from leadership to do what is right for the individuals served. The job involves supporting participants in everyday activities and developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, along with assisting with personal hygiene and behavioral support as needed. Sevita values compassionate, patient, and reliable individuals who find motivation in helping others thrive.

Sevita also invests in their staff by offering competitive pay including pay on demand, a full benefits package for full-time employees, a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match, paid time off and holiday pay, supportive supervisors focused on well-being, job security at a growing company, along with ongoing learning and development opportunities. The culture promotes a supportive environment where caregivers can build rewarding careers while making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Joining Mentor Community Services and Sevita means becoming part of a family committed to creating positive impacts every day. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a meaningful career with flexibility who enjoy working with diverse populations and thrive in a dynamic, compassionate work setting. If you are looking to grow your career and contribute to a mission that values and empowers each individual, this caregiver position will provide both challenge and reward in equal measure.
