Sugarbloom Bakery is an established bakery located in the Eagle Rock/Glassell Park area of Los Angeles. Known for producing and delivering the finest croissants and viennoiseries in LA, Sugarbloom Bakery has built a strong reputation for quality and artisanal craftsmanship. The bakery is the vision of chef/owner Sharon Wang, who brings nearly a decade of experience working under the legendary Thomas Keller and held the role of head pastry chef at Bouchon in both Napa Valley and Beverly Hills. Operating seven days a week, the bakery’s products are sold at over 50 locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area, reflecting both its reach and popularity. The commissary is situated on Verdugo Rd near York Blvd, conveniently serviced by multiple Metro bus lines and provides free secure parking in a gated lot for employees.

We are currently seeking a dedicated AM Baker to join our overnight bake shift from 12:30 am to 9:00 am. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of our baked goods and ensuring timely production each day. The position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of commercial baking experience who are hardworking, reliable, and eager to develop new skills. The AM Baker will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to bend, stoop, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, as well as standing for extended periods. Employees must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good basic math skills, are essential for success. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, be ego-free, team-oriented, and bring a sense of humor to the work environment. Lastly, possession of a California Food Handler Card is a requirement for this role.
