The position is a frontline leadership role within the hotel's nightly operation, specifically designed to maintain high service standards and operational efficiency throughout the overnight hours.\n\nThe Overnight Assistant Operations Manager will serve as the acting Manager on Duty during nighttime shifts, providing essential leadership and oversight to multiple operational departments including Front Office, Valet, Engineering, and Security. Acting as the primary point of contact during the night, this role involves quickly addressing any guest or colleague concerns, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. The manager will maintain a strong presence throughout the hotel, closely coordinating with different departments to make sure the hotel's operations run smoothly during overnight hours. This role is also tasked with supporting and leading the hotel staff to uphold safety standards, responding to emergencies, and ensuring an engaging work environment during night shifts. A key responsibility includes taking on night audit duties as needed, performing all related audit procedures as directed by hotel and company policies. The role requires someone who leads by example, demonstrating ownership and fostering a positive team atmosphere. The manager’s leadership is critical in maintaining an environment where both staff and guests feel safe, valued, and supported. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Overnight Assistant Operations Manager plays an indispensable role in sustaining operational excellence and delivering exceptional service throughout the night. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of front office experience
  • Prior overnight hotel management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overnight shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
  • Proficient with hotel systems and computer applications
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and team collaboration
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of front office experience
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel rooms management experience preferred
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of computers and systems
  • Successful problem-solving skills
  • Excellent overall communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Open availability including weekends

Job Duties

  • Maintain professional and healthy relationships with all departments within the hotel
  • Assist in covering rest and meal breaks for overnight staff
  • Respond to a variety of guest and colleague requests
  • Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company periodically as needed
  • Lead by example and with a sense of ownership
  • Quickly correct safety concerns and ensure guest and colleague safety
  • Address any guest concerns while ensuring the proper follow up is delivered
  • Lead the effort for colleague engagement during our night shifts
