MPC is currently seeking professional over-the-road transport drivers who will be entrusted with the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company's vision of achieving zero accidents and injuries while being responsible stewards of the environment. As a transport driver, you will operate complex tank truck and tractor-trailer rigs, adhering strictly to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as MPC's rigorous standards and procedures. You will be the face of MPC to many customers, ensuring timely deliveries and outstanding service.

This full-time position offers hourly pay ranging from $30.96 to $32.34, reflecting the importance and responsibility associated with the role. Physical demands include the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, perform duties on elevated surfaces, and handle lifting requirements. Job Requirements

  • Active Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record and provide consent to company for review of driving record(s)
  • Register with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide consent to company for review of clearinghouse records
  • Ability to drive interstate
  • Active hazardous materials and tank vehicle endorsements (required)
  • Ability to operate manual and/or automatic transmission
  • Must be able to work up to a 12-hour AM/PM shift
  • Availability to work hours beyond schedule, including holidays and weekends
  • Regional schedule availability for a 5/2 workweek
  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per MPC and DOT regulations
  • Ability to complete all regulatory paperwork accurately
  • Communicate incidents and equipment issues promptly
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work at elevated spaces 30+ feet
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50-65 lbs frequently
  • Ability to sit and grip steering wheel for extended periods
  • Pass required drug and alcohol screenings
  • Complete DOT physical and maintain current medical card
  • Pass three-year DOT safety background check and seven-year criminal background check
  • Pass pre-trip exam and road test to demonstrate proficiency operating required equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Active Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Active hazardous materials and tank vehicle endorsements
  • Must be able to operate manual and/or automatic transmission
  • Ability to drive interstate safely and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven track record of adhering to safety standards and regulations
  • Experience in handling and transporting petroleum products preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform pre-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
  • Obey all applicable federal, state and local laws
  • Follow MPC and site specific standard operating procedures for the loading and offloading process
  • Perform post-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations
  • Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork
  • Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift
  • Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures
  • Report all equipment issues in a timely manner
  • Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including all DOT regulations
