Job Description

Shamrock Foods Company is a prestigious, privately-held, family-owned and operated company that has proudly served the food industry since its founding in Arizona in 1922. Recognized as a Forbes 500 company, Shamrock Foods continues to innovate within the food sector by placing utmost priority on people—its associates, customers, and the families served nationwide. The company embodies a strong culture centered around its founding family’s motto: "treat associates like family and customers like friends." This philosophy fosters a close-knit workplace environment, promoting teamwork, mutual respect, and a commitment to excellence throughout its operations. Shamrock Foods is committed to creating a meaningful and rewarding career experience, providing excellent compensation packages coupled with substantial benefits that support employee health, education, wellness, and financial security.

The role offered is a crucial position within Shamrock Foods’ logistics and distribution network, specifically focusing on the transportation and delivery of refrigerated milk products beyond the Arizona region. This position involves the operation of tractor/trailers to ensure that fresh, high-quality products reach customers reliably and safely. All deliveries and pick-ups are carefully scheduled prior to departure, relieving drivers from the uncertainty of searching for loads or next destinations, thus promoting efficiency and streamlined operations.

As a driver responsible for long-haul refrigerated deliveries, the individual will be tasked with transporting milk products from the warehouse or depots to customers in a timely and secure manner. Sometimes, the role may require the individual to function as a lumper, assisting in loading and unloading their freight to ensure smooth delivery processes. This safety-sensitive role demands compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and requires the driver to maintain accurate computerized logs, perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report on the truck’s condition daily. The position demands a willingness to work overnights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the assigned route schedule, adhering to legal limits on driving hours established by federal regulations.

The role offers a compelling opportunity for professional drivers seeking a structured, supportive work environment with a reputable food service company known for its stability and employee-oriented values. Shamrock Foods not only prioritizes operational excellence but also the well-being of its workforce. Employees enjoy competitive benefits including the majority coverage of health insurance premiums, a 401(k) Savings Plan, profit-sharing programs, paid time off, and numerous personal growth opportunities via continued education and wellness initiatives. In addition, the company maintains equitable hiring practices, ensuring fair employment opportunities irrespective of racial, cultural, or personal backgrounds.

This job description details a rewarding career path within the food distribution sector for CDL A holders who possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Candidates can expect to join a supportive team where their role directly impacts the satisfaction of customers and the overall success of Shamrock Foods Company’s mission.
