Job Description
Shamrock Foods Company is a distinguished leader in the food industry, renowned for its commitment to quality and community since its founding in Arizona in 1922. As a privately-held, family-owned, and family-operated Forbes 500 company, Shamrock Foods stands out as an innovator, dedicated to delivering exceptional food products and services to customers nationwide. The company's core philosophy revolves around treating associates like family and customers like friends, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and excellence throughout its operations.
Specializing in refrigerated product delivery and logistics, Shamrock Foods provides reliable and timely distribution services that are essential to the food supply chain. The company’s reputation is built upon a strong foundation of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that every product reaches its destination in optimal condition. This unwavering dedication to quality and service has enabled Shamrock Foods to maintain its position as a preferred partner for food service providers across the country.
The position available is for a professional truck driver responsible for delivering refrigerated milk products to customers outside of Arizona and subsequently picking up loads for return to Phoenix. This role involves operating tractor-trailers safely and efficiently while adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company policies. Drivers will receive pre-scheduled deliveries and pickups, eliminating the uncertainty of searching for freight or destinations. The pay range for this role is competitive, ranging from $0.70 to $0.74 per mile, with the exact rate depending on the applicant’s experience.
As a truck driver for Shamrock Foods, the successful candidate will be entrusted with transporting milk products from warehouses or depots directly to customers, sometimes requiring independent loading and unloading responsibilities. Daily inspections of the truck must be conducted to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Drivers will also maintain detailed logs of trips and report on truck conditions accurately. The role demands a high level of professionalism, reliability, and dedication to maintaining safety standards at all times.
This position requires availability to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demanding needs of the department. Start times and hours can vary based on assigned routes, and drivers must be willing to utilize computerized logging systems as part of their daily routine. Shamrock Foods values its employees and promotes a supportive work environment where growth opportunities, continued education, and wellness programs are prioritized.
In addition to a fulfilling and stable career in truck driving, Shamrock Foods offers comprehensive benefits such as health insurance with most costs covered by the company, a 401(k) Savings Plan, Profit Sharing opportunities, and paid time off. This combination of competitive pay and benefits underscores Shamrock Foods’ commitment to employee welfare and a healthy work-life balance. Candidates joining the team become part of a company that prides itself on its rich history, innovative spirit, and a welcoming culture of inclusion and equal opportunity.
