The role offered is for a sales professional based in the metro Amarillo, TX region. This position focuses on driving sales growth by leveraging a thorough understanding of the seafood products and aligning those to the specific needs of customers. As a sales representative, your responsibilities will include researching and prospecting customer opportunities, delivering compelling sales presentations, and managing customer relationships for long-term growth. Additionally, your role will involve menu planning, food costing, and maintaining comprehensive order guides and pricing files. Active participation in the development of both short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies will be part of this position.
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in foodservice sales, preferably within the seafood industry or related fields such as distribution, manufacturing, or brokerage. While a culinary background is preferred, it is not mandatory, though it will enhance your ability to understand and communicate the value of the offerings. This role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory to engage with clients effectively. Language skills in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or other languages are highly preferred, reflecting the company’s dedication to serving a diverse customer base.
The position offers a competitive starting salary of $85,000 annually, with the expectation of transitioning to an unlimited commission structure as you cultivate and expand your book of business. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Foodservice sales experience
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant sales and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of seafood products preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Foodservice sales background including distributor, manufacturer, or broker
- Seafood industry experience preferred

Job Duties
- Research new opportunities to sell seafood products by visiting existing customers and prospecting new customers
- Analyze customer business opportunities by identified vertical markets
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner
- Plan menu ideas and perform food costing
- Maintain order guides and pricing files using product and/or customer analysis and comparisons
- Keep informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers
- Participate in developing long and short-range sales and marketing plans
- Conduct training sessions for key clients and their staff
- Develop marketing and ad strategies for restaurant clients
- Meet all monthly sales and margin objectives and annual sales budgets
