The role of an Outside Sales Representative at ABC Supply Outdoor Solutions is dynamic and pivotal to the company’s growth and success. This role involves selling an extensive range of building supplies and industrial products primarily to contractor customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, leveraging sales data to detect buying patterns and opportunities, and strategically expanding the customer base in collaboration with the Branch Manager. The position demands a proactive approach to business development, including cold calling prospective clients, scheduling appointments, and following up diligently to nurture leads.

Customer service excellence is at the heart of this role, as representatives are expected to assist customers by offering comprehensive solutions tailored to their contracting needs. This includes providing product training to customers and their teams, assisting with credit applications, and managing collections to ensure the financial health of accounts. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and superior time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.

The position offers an attractive compensation package that reflects the hard work and dedication expected of ABC Supply’s Outside Sales Representatives. This package includes both a competitive base pay and a commission structure designed to reward performance. Additionally, Outside Sales Representatives are eligible for a comprehensive benefits program. Job Requirements

  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Be able to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Vehicle insurance must meet company’s requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in window or door sales or installation is preferred
  • Previous experience in pool and patio sales is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish or English is preferred
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Superior time-management and organization skills

Job Duties

  • Cultivating and managing customer relationships
  • Utilizing sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
  • Making cold calls to prospective customers
  • Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
  • Following up with customers and providing solutions, should a service concern arise
  • Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
  • Assisting customers in the credit application process
  • Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
