Their longstanding reputation is built on extensive seafood knowledge, a commitment to innovation, and delivering outstanding customer service. Santa Monica Seafood Company is known for offering high-quality seafood products to a diverse range of clients, including restaurants, foodservice distributors, and retail businesses. The company takes pride in maintaining close relationships with customers, offering expert support, and ensuring the freshness and sustainability of their seafood offerings. We are currently seeking dedicated and driven sales professionals to join the Santa Monica Seafood Company team in the metro Amarillo, TX region. This full-time role offers a competitive starting annual base salary of $85,000, with the expectation of transitioning into an unlimited commission structure as you grow your book of business. The role is designed for individuals passionate about foodservice sales and seafood, and it requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining customer relationships. As a sales representative, you will be an essential voice of the company in your territory, tasked with driving sales and contributing to the company's planned growth.

Beyond direct selling, this position involves strategic menu planning and food costing to help clients optimize their offerings. Maintaining up-to-date order guides and pricing files through thorough product and customer analysis will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities.

You will stay informed about new products and market trends to keep customers engaged and provide valuable insights. Participating in developing both long and short-term sales and marketing plans will be part of your strategic contributions to the company’s success. Training key clients and their staff on product knowledge and usage aligns with the company’s customer service excellence. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to devise marketing and advertising strategies tailored for restaurant clients, enhancing their visibility and sales potential.

The role requires traveling within the assigned territory, so a flexible and mobile approach is essential. Proficiency in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or other languages is highly preferred to enhance communication with a diverse clientele. A background in foodservice sales within distributor, manufacturer, or broker environments is highly valued, and experience in the seafood industry or culinary knowledge is considered a strong asset. Santa Monica Seafood Company also places importance on formal education or equivalent related experience. Working with this prestigious company gives you access to excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a generous employer match that vests immediately. You will also receive full training on company systems and products to ensure you are well-equipped for success.
