Job Description

HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional accommodation experiences through a network of distinguished properties. Known for our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and guest satisfaction, HHM Hotels emphasizes the importance of its core values—People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. We operate in various markets, maintaining high standards of hospitality and service to ensure every guest enjoys an unforgettable stay.

As a key player in the hospitality industry, HHM Hotels offers diverse career opportunities for professionals passionate about delivering superior service and growing within a dynamic organization. Our commitment to employee development is demonstrated through clear career progression pathways, competitive compensation, and a supportive environment.

The role of Sales Manager at HHM Hotels centers around managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and exceed revenue goals by soliciting both past and new business. This position involves active engagement with clients to sell all facets of the hotel, maximizing revenue streams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to ensure consistent performance aligned with the hotel’s brand standards and HHM’s core values.

Key responsibilities include overseeing account management activities such as solicitation and closing of business, coordinating internal departments to service accounts effectively, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients to enhance customer satisfaction and drive account revenue. The Sales Manager will develop and deliver persuasive verbal sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotel’s benefits to secure sales opportunities. Local travel to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel, review competitive properties, represent the hotel at trade shows, and ensure adherence to sustainable practices under HHM’s EarthView program are critical aspects of this role.

The position offers a growth path beginning from Senior Sales Manager through Director of Sales, Area Director of Sales, and up to Regional Director of Sales, providing ample opportunity for career advancement within the company’s leadership ranks. This growth trajectory is supported by ongoing training and professional development initiatives.

Candidates should possess an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field, with a proven track record in sales, preferably within the hospitality industry. The role requires frequent travel, approximately 50% or more, reflecting the need to engage actively with clients and represent the hotel effectively in various venues.

HHM Hotels values work-life balance and wellbeing, offering substantial benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, life insurance, and access to confidential health and wellness resources. Additional perks include travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance programs, technology reimbursements, referral bonuses, and quarterly incentives.

The working environment may demand flexibility with schedules that include holidays and weekends, and may require periods of extended sitting, light lifting, and moderate travel. The company’s culture thrives on its foundational beliefs, emphasizing capability, service, excellence, agility, and ownership, fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace.

Joining HHM Hotels as a Sales Manager means becoming part of a forward-thinking hospitality leader committed to sustainable growth, exceptional guest experiences, and employee empowerment.
