This position requires local travel to promote the hotel and keep abreast of competition, with a travel requirement of approximately 15 percent. This full-time opportunity offers a clear growth path that can potentially lead from Senior Sales Manager to Director of Sales, Area Director of Sales, and ultimately Regional Director of Sales, enabling ambitious candidates to expand their leadership capabilities within the company. Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred
  • Proven track record in sales required
  • Previous hospitality sales experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 15 percent
  • Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Previous hospitality sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations
  • Competence in account management and customer relationship building

Job Duties

  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer requirements
  • Manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
  • Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition
  • Represent hotel at trade shows
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
