Its parent company, Air Liquide, operates in 60 countries, employing over 66,500 people and serving more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide.
In the competitive and dynamic market of welding equipment rental and sales, the Outside Sales Associate role based in Charlotte, North Carolina, plays a pivotal part in upholding Airgas’s commitment to excellence. This role requires the individual to manage new and existing customer relationships within the assigned territory, contribute to sales goals, and deliver outstanding customer service through equipment rental and sales in welding equipment, power generation, and weld automation. The position features a base salary with commission incentives and includes a monthly auto allowance due to the 50% travel requirement within the territory, supporting customer visits and equipment demonstrations.
The role demands an individual capable of assessing client needs accurately and recommending tailored solutions to optimize their operations. Key responsibilities involve generating sales leads, making presentations, preparing quotations, performing onsite equipment demonstrations, and developing long-term supply agreements with customers. The position also requires maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with company health and safety policies. Sales associates are expected not only to meet but exceed rental and sales goals, representing Airgas at trade events and forming strategic partnerships. The role offers an engaging work environment where leadership skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication are highly valued. Candidates will find ample opportunities to grow career-wise within a global leader that values diversity and fosters an inclusive and productive work culture.
In terms of benefits, the associate will find a comprehensive package that supports work-life balance and future security. This includes healthcare coverage—medical, dental, and vision plans—along with life, disability, and accidental death insurance. Additional benefits like paid parental leave, vacation, sick time, and holiday pay underscore the company's commitment to family and work-life integration. The retirement plan offers a 401(k) with company match, and educational opportunities via tuition reimbursement and scholarship programs further enhance employee development. Airgas is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals, ensuring a supportive environment for all employees.
