Their operations focus on supporting the design and delivery of successful food experiences across multiple segments of the food service industry. With a strong emphasis on customer commitment, GFS has continued to grow by fostering lasting relationships and bringing innovative solutions to market. This dedication makes GFS a trusted partner for many food operations ranging from local restaurants to large-scale institutions.

Joining Gordon Food Service means becoming part of an organization rooted deeply in family values and service. The company culture promotes servant leadership and continuous career development through cutting-edge tools and comprehensive training. Gordon Food Service commits to supporting its employees' growth and financial objectives through a rewarding compensation structure that includes salary, commissions, and bonuses. Additionally, employees benefit from competitive and low-cost health coverage options for themselves and their families, as well as reimbursement plans for automobile and cell phone expenses.

The position available is an Outside Food Sales Representative role based in Brevard County, Florida. This role is critical in representing GFS in the field by managing relationships, growing business accounts, and identifying new opportunities within a defined sales territory. Successful candidates will proactively research market and industry trends, develop sales strategies, and present the value propositions of Gordon Food Service’s products and services to both potential and current customers. Regular visits to existing customers allow the representative to identify additional needs and train customers on GFS product offerings, thus strengthening partnerships.

Sales territory management is an essential part of the role, requiring a balance between acquiring new customers and deepening relationships with existing accounts. Clear communication regarding order status and customer feedback is vital to ensure seamless service delivery. New hires at Gordon Food Service receive an extensive and structured 90-day training program. This covers the mastery of company systems and processes, an in-depth understanding of product offerings, sales methodology, and techniques for building relationships with customers and within the company’s broad network.

Candidates are expected to hold a high school diploma or GED at minimum, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree or culinary certificate. Prior sales, business, or food service experience is valuable for this role, as well as a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a safe driving record. As food safety is paramount in this industry, the ability to obtain a food safety certification is also a requirement.

Gordon Food Service embraces diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from veterans and active military members and ensuring equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals. The company fosters a respectful and dignified work environment and follows strict guidelines around accommodating disabilities and maintaining a tobacco-free and drug-free workplace.
