Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting outreach supplies
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in environmental science, resource management, education, public administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proactive and adaptable with ability to learn new processes and take ownership
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to implement strategic approaches effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred experience supporting customers and troubleshooting operational challenges
- Fluency in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese or Korean is a plus
- Experience working in the solid waste industry is preferred
Job Duties
- Thoroughly understands the WM contract and develops and implements thoughtful program approaches to achieve and surpass contractual metrics
- Coordinates with operation and customer service teams to resolve complex customer issues
- Understands behaviors impacting diversion rates and makes innovative, credible recommendations to municipal stakeholders
- Designs and delivers educational programs and presentations focused on sustainability goals
- Conducts site surveys and waste audits to make credible recommendations aligned with operational capacity
- Uses WM knowledge and resources to ensure flawless service delivery
- Project manages and staffs community recycling collection events including vendor payment coordination and traffic flow planning
