This includes onsite visits to troubleshoot complex waste program challenges, conducting waste audits, delivering presentations, and managing community recycling events.

The ideal candidate for this role is proactive, adaptable, and highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and outreach activities effectively. They will demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills to engage diverse municipal stakeholders and tailor programs to meet community needs. The Recycling Representative will lead initiatives such as door-to-door outreach, tabling at events, community tours, and social media engagement to promote WM’s sustainability efforts. This role also involves training and supervising summer interns as part of WM’s outreach team.

The position requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to cover community events and collections outside normal business hours. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and able to lift and transport outreach materials. Compensation for this role ranges from $80,168 to $89,470 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
