Job Description

Loews New Orleans Hotel is a prominent luxury hotel located in the vibrant Warehouse District, right in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana. Celebrated for its exceptional blend of comfort, elegance, and authentic local culture, this hotel offers guests an immersive experience that captures the romantic charm and cultural richness famously portrayed by Tennessee Williams in his acclaimed plays and stories. As a cornerstone in New Orleans' cultural crossroads, Loews New Orleans Hotel prides itself on delivering a unique blend of upscale hospitality, distinguished service, and refined, luxurious amenities. The hotel boasts beautifully appointed rooms, state-of-the-art event spaces, exquisite dining options, and a welcoming atmosphere that invites both leisure and business travelers to immerse themselves in the city’s lively spirit.

This Food and Beverage management position at Loews New Orleans Hotel is designed for a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for supporting the Director of Food and Beverage in managing the hotel's multiple food and beverage outlets. The role encompasses planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating all outlet operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations and maintain the highest standards of quality. Key responsibilities include staffing management, employee training, scheduling, cost control, inventory management, and upholding Loews Hotels’ policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every aspect of outlet operations — from product quality and service standards to guest relations and financial performance — operates seamlessly and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality setting.

The job also requires frequent interaction with guests to gauge satisfaction and enhance their dining experience while maintaining a hands-on presence on the restaurant floor during peak service periods. The managerial responsibility extends to supervising the labor force, managing payroll and labor costs, and collaborating closely with the kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service delivery. The position values strong leadership, with duties including interviewing, coaching, appraising, and disciplining personnel according to Loews’ standards. Additionally, the role involves consistent communication across departments to align on hotel-wide activities, events, and promotions, fostering a cohesive team-oriented environment.

Candidates must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of upscale food service operations with proven management experience in a hospitality or free-standing food service setting. The role requires a commitment to continuous training and professional development, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and the pursuit of superior service delivery through both individual and team efforts. As a key managerial figure within the department, the individual will be expected to evaluate guest feedback, assess industry trends, and recommend operational adjustments to maintain brand distinction and market competitiveness. The role demands flexibility with scheduling to include weekends and holidays, reinforcing the importance of availability and dedication in the hospitality industry.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a reputable luxury hospitality brand known for its commitment to cultural excellence and guest satisfaction. Working at Loews New Orleans Hotel means being part of a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences in one of America’s most iconic cities.
